MAKE ENQUIRIES
Every now and then we read in the papers of tragic stories of dowry deaths.
It is of paramount importance to make enquiries about the prospective groom’s background — whether he is a desi or has settled down abroad and comes to India on a lightning visit with the sole purpose of matrimony.
Some men spin a web of deceit and take innocent girls for a ride. The guy may be a small fry abroad but he makes a big show when he comes down to India and claims that he is a big shot and throws money around to impress eligible girls and their parents.
