Premature exposure to sex and physical love would awaken sexuality in a child even before the onset of puberty. Sex facts are openly shown in many TV programmes, video shows, films and magazines. A child who is watching such programmes gets interested in the man-woman relationship and becomes curious to taste “the forbidden fruit.” Getting impatient to enjoy sex, a child could even develop relationship with persons much older than him or her or indulge in homosexual pleasures.
• Children deprived of the warmth of a loving home and parental care try to seek solace and happiness in sexual pleasure. They get easily infatuated with anybody without thinking about the pros and cons of the immature affair. Children coming from a broken home or having a single parent could fall prey to calf-love.
• It is a well-known fact that at present every child is overburdened with studies, homework and tests. This causes tension and worry in a young child. He or she tries to get rid of the tension by developing intimacy with a person from the opposite sex or even from the same sex.
