Soup is typically placed on a plate, when served.
1. When using the soup spoon, always move the spoon away from your body, and then sip from the side. Never put the entire spoon into your mouth.
2. It is acceptable to tilt the bowl slightly away from your body, to get to the last few spoonfuls of soup.
3. Once you are finished, always place the soup spoon on the side of the plate. This indicates that you are ready for the next course.
