Oven-dried fruit slices make for great dessert toppings… Ingredients: 1 medium ripe pineapple; 1 cup water; 2 cups sugar; % cup light syrup (corn, maple or anything you like) Method: Peel pineapple, slice into M-inch slices and set aside. In a saucepan, bring sugar, water and syrup to the boil. Add pineapple slices. Cook over low heat until fruit becomes transparent. Drain pineapple and let dry. Store in airtight container. If refrigerated, rings stay fresh for a week.
