  The Bubble Bursts: when men have an extramarital affair, they are mostly in love with an illusion. The wife’s flaws are magnified, as she is constantly with the husband in all kinds of situations like - just out of bed with swollen eyes, oil in her hair, or looking haggard with housework. The other woman seems so perfect. Often met outside the house, she is well dressed and well behaved all the time.
The unfaithful husband has a romantic view of the lover. The moment the lover replaces the wife; she does not seem so perfect. The man who marries the second woman will soon find that he is facing the same problems that he had been facing with his first wife. Marriage will burst the bubble of idealised romance.
It is possible to save a marriage before the husband has an affair. By being sensitive to the husband’s needs, investing time and money in the relationship, by going for romantic holidays and outings, by keeping communication alive - you can save your marriage.
If your marriage is in trouble, it is indeed traumatic for you. But it is still possible to get back the trust and love in marriage. All you need is belief in your relationship and a will to fight against all odds. A marriage is sacred and it needs to be saved at all costs.
I fully agree with Goethe who once said, “The sum which two married people owe to one another defies calculation.”
