A PAIR OF BEAUTIFUL FRAMES…..FOR YOUR EYES
A PAIR OF BEAUTIFUL FRAMES…..FOR YOUR EYES
Without EYEBROWS
So we see Mona Lisa, the master creation of 16th century artist Leonardo Da Vinci, with her eyebrows completely removed, reflecting probably-the fashion of that period. However, no beauty-conscious woman will today dream of doing this!
Our own film heroines of yesteryear can be seen in many classics with well-shaped but thick eyebrows. And during the 70s, models and heroines can be remembered for their bell-bottoms, side fringes of hair and pencil-line thin eyebrows. The women of the ’90s are, however, going in for a much more natural look, with less help from tweezers.
The most important point to remember when giving shape to your eyebrows is balance. Your facial shape should to a large extent determine the shape of your eyebrows. Here are some tips to help you decide on the shape of your brows:
1. If you have a rectangular face, go for slightly thick eyebrows drawn gently towards the temple. For a square face give the eyebrows a slightly rounded curve.
2. The brow should not be thick, in case the shape of face is triangular. Curve the brows slightly upward to emphasize the triangular shape of the face.
3. Keep the brows parallel to the eyelid and drawn towards the temple for an oval face.
4. Round faces require slightly arched brows in oblique curve directed towards the temple
