Don’t forget to exfoliate!
A good scrub is imperative in summer. Healthy skin renews itself every month exfoliation sloughs off dead cells to leave skin smoother, brighter. It also checks the formation of blackheads by preventing build-up of dirt. A scrub should be used at least twice a week in warm weather. Remember to use it on legs, feet and arms as well. Kitchen cosmetics:
- A light massage cream (or oil) and table salt are the simple ingredients for a scrub recommended for dry skin. Massage your face lightly with cream or olive oil, and then gently rub in some table salt. Rinse off after a 2-minute rub.
- Mix one teaspoon each of wheat bran, teaspoon of yoghurt and teaspoon of lemon juice for oily skin. Rub your face with this for two minutes and wash off.
- For normal skin, dab on cool milk and gently rub in a teaspoon of maize flour.
