Siets; the space in between the rows of houses on either side is called street.

Such streets in plural number make a village or town. To build a house in accordance with the streets selecting a site is called a site in Vastu.

Selection of a site is better than going for “Ayam” in the construction of a house. Some people consuit vastu Pandits after selecting site and construction time. These build walls after laying foundation. This is like thinking of spilt over milk. Even before under taking construction vastu shastras have to be consulted and a decision taken.

We have to consider the surroundings also before selecting a site. Depending on the natural conditions, hills, valleys, tanks, rivers and the lakes will be there in nature. We have to make use of them scientifically.

But scientists have described sites depending on these natural conditions.

These are referred to as ‘blocks’ by vastu science.
