1. To soften butter for spreading on bread slices, fill a bowl with boiling water. Empty and turn the bowl upside down over the butter dish.
2. Cake flour is hard to find, but you need not worry. From each cup of flour you use, remove 2 tablespoonfuls of flour and replace it with 2 tablespoonfuls of corn starch. That gives you cake flour.
3. Keep a rib of celery in your bread box which will help keep the bread fresh for a longer time.
4. Take 500 gm of butter and slowly beat in 2 cups of evaporated milk. Pour into a pan and chill. The result is that you get 1 kg of butter and that too better quality.
