Newly-married young man is usually so engrossed in the company of his bride that he forgets the rest of the world altogether. His constant attention flatters the young wife, of course, and she revels in it. The consequences, however, at times are disastrous.

The young bridegroom, however, was so blinded by his love. Indeed; the bride has the onerous duty of ensuring that her husband does not neglect any of his duties and responsibilities. If his lapses cause some mishaps, the blame will be laid fairly and squarely at her I door! She will be accused of being an insensitive and selfish clod who I kept the man in her thrall when he I had duties to perform.

Neglecting Parents:
Many a time, a son is neglectful of his duties towards his parents. After marriage he may have even less time for the older people. If a bride is sensitive enough to feel the pain of her parents-in-law, she can easily build bridges again between the son and the parents and teach him to pay attention to their wants.
Spendthrift husbands can be led gently into respecting their finances by their shrewd and tactful brides.

Sometimes, the bridegroom is still studying in a professional course when his marriage is fixed. His bride makes him forget all about his books and assignments as he stays glued to her side with lovelorn looks.

This situation too can be fraught with risks. The bride alone can diplomatically encourage her husband into sitting with his books once more.

She should let him sleep early, ensure that he gets enough quiet for concentrated study and feed him a light but nutritious diet. His success will bring rewards for her as well, when he gets absorbed in a good posting because of his excellent examination results.

The new bride always casts a magical spell on her husband and he becomes putty in her hands, her lovesick swain and her willing slave. This stage may not last for a long time but in this period he may unwittingly neglect important.

Don’t let him remain so engrossed in your company that he neglects his responsibilities, duties and chores. It is in the bride own interests that he is gently le back to the right path. He will later thank her for it.
