Personalise your paper goods
Make your mark on plain stationery with an imprint of your monogram. All it takes is an initial embosser. Press simple designs onto invitations and envelopes.
2 To create customized napkins for your next party try this. Start with a rubber stamp and ink. You can select an elegant initial or an icon that’s appropriate for the event: a diya for Diwali, a moon and star motif for Id or even a Ganesh for New Year. (Any local stamp-maker will take orders on designs of your choice.) Take plain paper napkins and press the inked stamp lightly on the paper (if you push too hard, the colour may run). You can also imprint place cards and paper tablecloths.
3 If giving a book as a present, write a note inside the cover and stamp the page to add a decorative personal touch. Loaning a favourite novel to a friend? Stamp an inner page as a subtle reminder that the book is from your library!
