Vaccination for Cats
Vaccination for Cats
A Vaccination is absolutely necessary for cats. They must be vaccinated for:
• FVRCP - feline viral rhinotra- cheitis and calicivirus (diseases of the eyes, nose and throat) plus panleukopenia (a viral disease of the blood and intestines).
• Rabies - a viral disease fatal to humans and other animals.
Kittens get their first FVRCP shot at 8 weeks and a second when 12 weeks old. Anti-rabies and a third FVRCP vaccine are administered after four months.
An adult cat (13 weeks or older) which hasn’t been vaccinated must be given an initial FVRCP vaccine and booster in 2-4 weeks. Anti-rabies should be given yearly.

In the case of female dogs, shedding can occur at the time of their oestrus or heat cycle. Pregnancy and lactation can also result in excessive hair fall. (more…)
