Idea of the month: Pattern Your Garden Wall
Hollowed terracotta blocks stacked vertically at an angle and cemented to create posts of different heights make for an unusual garden wall. Steel rods through the columns add stability and strength, and the asymmetric; pattern breaks the monotony of a continuous stretch. Punctuate the wall with boxes of florals (here you see geraniums) placed on granite slabs to create more interest. If you hated the idea of a regular boring boundary wall: ‘Our wall is now the talking point for visitors!’
